As a patron of the arts, especially the real colorful ones, I get frustrated when social commitments keep me from important artsy type activities.  For example, the Peterson Museum in Los Angeles has for some time been featuring the work of one of the most prolific and enchanting artist of our time,  Of course his work was scorned by the elites while he was alive but as usual, death brings on the mystique.

Rat Fink  courtesy of Ed "Big DadImages_1dy" Roth.

If you were a kid in the 60's through the 80's and had anything to do with cars, bikes, or were just a highbrow in a lowbrow world, you most likely recognize this fellow.

But I digress.  Having been made unavailable for the spendid exhibit in L.A., I sent a crack team to make the pilgrimmage and return photos so that I might share them with you.  Mrs Doclee and Miss Crabgrass did just that only to return with every photo blurred beyond publishability.  I have directed them both to chastise themselves.  (Though I did score a neat t-shirt out of the deal.)

"Auntie Ruth" in N. Hollywood has unknowingly come to the rescue by recognizing my obvious class and in addition to the dandy refirgerator magnets and Chocolates has sent a program from the exhibit as well as a genuine licensed Rat Fink keychain.  I am a happy camper, and as soon as I figure out how, I intend to so some scanning, I will share the love.

Back Soon.
