Goings on

Dsc04345 This is a close up of an M1 Abrams main battle tank, a truly fearsome weapon.

Dsc04346 This is an Abrams tanker.

What enemy of FDsc04347reedom could fail to be scared witless by this?

Dsc04348 Billy Banana, dauntless defender of Things that are Good

Dsc04349 And the crew that made it possible.

This crew, at the risk of a very stern talking to, managed to occupy Sageant Major Smurf (SMS) long enough for me to properly affix these fearsome magnets to one of their tanks.  Time was of the essence, so we didn't get very far.  Don't worry though.  Stay tuned and see what happns next. The first annual Brassfield Mora Open golf tournament and car and fashion show.  All made possible by The Other Sargeant Major (TOMS) who is not an a-hole.

Horror at the Silos

I realize that it is late for Halloween, but we operate on a slower pace around here.

Cannibal I call this one "Cannibal wheat".  If you are a fan of botany (and really, who isn't) you will shudder at the sheer horror of this. This wheat is shamelessly living off the dead carcasses of it's recently fallen brethren. Such a brutal country.  I will never look at bread the same.

Speaking of carcasses:

Funsaddam

This fella will be going to his reward soon, I hear.  I hope it is warm there.  My area is Sunni, so we were expecting riot and other American behavior, but all we got was a wimpy demonstration.  Good for me.  This picture was taken at the old Tikrit Air base.  They were expecting the worst in Tikrit. Saddam's hometown, but I haven't heard anything from there.  Anyway, I like the subtle modifications made by the locals.

That will have to do it for now, duty calls.  Also breakfast.  Watch for updates.
